THE KEY TO HAPPINESS

We’re living in a crazy fast paced world. We’re constantly on the run. We’re linked to everyone, everywhere, through technology, and we have information coming at us from every direction. We’re continually being pushed, pushing ourselves to do more, and to do better. It’s easy to lose sight of ourselves. It’s easy to become what I refer to as a “zombie” — an empty shell, hurriedly moving from one task to the next. So where, and how, can you find the key happiness when you barely have time to sit down and eat a hot meal?

I came across this TED video, with Shawn Anchor – “The Happiness Advantage: Linking Positive Brains to Performance.” In it, Shawn gives a few simple tips that you can do each day to increase your happiness. You don’t have to find happiness, it is within you — you just have to slow down and listen.

BE POSITIVE IN THE PRESENT – THE HAPPINESS ADVANTAGE

If you wait to be happy until you’re successful, you’ll never find happiness.

Be happy, success will come.

I’m happiest when experiencing the simple things in life: making photographs, playing outside with my dogS, hiking in the woods, while listening to the rustling leaves and the singing birds, sitting by the water listening to the waves, and spending time with family and friends.
